Strength is the treatment

Excape Healthcare works with adults in midlife who are dealing with pain, stiffness or lost capability, and who want a structured, coached way back to doing what matters to them. We test, we build a programme around what the testing shows, and we stay with you long enough for it to hold.

This is exercise coaching delivered by qualified strength and conditioning coaches. It sits alongside your GP or consultant rather than replacing them.

The problem

Most people have already tried something

By the time people come to us they have usually been through a course of physio that helped until it stopped, or a gym membership that came with no plan, or a personal trainer who treated a back problem like a fitness problem.

None of that is wasted. What tends to be missing is a proper starting measurement, a programme built from it, and someone still paying attention six months later when the early progress needs to turn into something permanent.

  • Pain that settles and then returns in the same pattern
  • Strength work avoided because nobody explained what was safe
  • Progress that stalls once the initial soreness passes
  • No objective measure of what actually changed
How it works

Test, build, then stay

01

Assessment

A full session with a coach: your history, what you are trying to get back to, and objective testing of strength, movement and capacity. You leave knowing your numbers.

02

A programme built from the findings

Not a template. If the testing shows a weak posterior chain behind your back pain, that is what the programme addresses first, at a load that matches where you actually are.

03

Coaching, in person and remotely

Hands-on sessions where technique and load need eyes on them, and remote coaching between times so the work continues around your job and your week.

04

Education, so it outlasts us

We explain what we are doing and why, so that over twelve months you build the knowledge to manage your own body rather than depending on a provider indefinitely.

What we help with

Where this works best

Low back pain

Persistent or recurring back pain, where building tolerance and posterior chain strength does more than rest or passive treatment.

Joint pain and stiffness

Knees, hips and shoulders that hurt or limit what you can do, loaded gradually and deliberately rather than avoided.

Lost mobility and capacity

Getting off the floor, carrying shopping, keeping up on a walk. Capability you want back, trained for directly.

Weight management

Weight loss supported by strength work and structure, so what you lose is not the muscle you need.

Prevention and healthy ageing

Building strength and resilience in your forties and fifties, before the problems arrive rather than after.

Not sure where you fit?

The assessment exists to answer exactly that. If we are not the right people, we will tell you and point you somewhere better.

Who delivers it

Qualified S&C coaches

Every programme is delivered by a strength and conditioning coach, not a general fitness instructor. That matters when the person in front of them has a history worth taking seriously and a reason to be cautious about load.

Client to supply

Coach roster and bios for launch, with S&C qualifications and any clinical or rehabilitation experience. The brief lists this as an open item. Real photography of coaching and testing sessions is needed here too, rather than stock imagery.

Start with an assessment

One session, a full picture, and a straight answer on how well this suits you.
