Testing & assessment

You leave knowing your numbers

The first proper session is an assessment. It takes the guesswork out of what follows, and it gives us something to measure against in three months rather than relying on how you feel on the day.

What it covers

A full picture, written down

History and goals

What has happened, what you have tried, what you have been told, and what you actually want to get back to doing. Specific beats general here.

Movement screening

How you move through the patterns that matter day to day, and where the restriction or compensation is showing up.

Strength testing

Objective strength measurement, so weakness is identified rather than assumed, and so progress can be proven later.

Capacity

What you can sustain, not just what you can do once. Most real-life complaints are capacity problems rather than strength problems.

Client to confirm

Exact testing protocols and any equipment used, plus session length and price. The brief flags pricing as an open decision: publish it, or route everyone through a consultation. We can build either.

Afterwards

What you walk out with

  • Your baseline measurements, recorded so they can be repeated
  • A plain explanation of what the results suggest
  • The starting programme, and the reasoning behind it
  • A straight answer on how well we suit what you need

If the assessment suggests something that needs medical input first, we will tell you and recommend you speak to your GP or consultant before we begin.
